Blood tests we offer
A blood test in London can uncover a wealth of knowledge about your body and how it’s operating. When we administer these screenings, we’re not only looking for clues about the health issues that you may have mentioned to us. We’re also looking in general for markers of health. We believe in modern, preventative care as the future of medicine and a private blood test in London is the way to do this with our expert nurses and doctors and world-class testing labs.
We offer a wide range of blood tests and health checks in our 8 clinics across London. You can book the same day and receive results by email or phone. We use a world leading diagnostics laboratory The Doctors Laboratory and follow guidance from the Laboratory Tests Online for healthy test results ranges.
WE AIM TO DELIVER YOU THE RESULTS IN THE EXPECTED TURNAROUND, BUT PLEASE NOTE SOMETIMES THERE MIGHT BE LABORATORY DELAYS

How to prepare
There is very little preparation needed before a London blood test. The most important thing to do is drink lots of water so that you are well hydrated for your appointment. We get lots of questions about fasting but, in reality, you only need to fast if you are having your glucose tested. For most of the other tests, being well hydrated is the best preparation.
If there are specific things you need to do to prepare for your blood test, we will let you know soon after you book so that you have plenty of time to prepare.
If you have a phobia of needles or have had difficulty with a blood test in London in the past, simply let one of our helpful staff members know and they will take steps to ensure you are as comfortable as possible.
Procedure
We understand that having blood test isn’t an experience that people look forward to. Most patients find, however, that the process is simple and almost pain-free and they are in and out in under 15 minutes. Patients say that our friendly doctors and nurses make all the difference and we’re inclined to agree.
We will generally be taking the blood from your arm and our trained nurses and doctors are highly skilled at finding the right vein to administer a needle. Once the test is taken, our specialist will apply gauze to the affected area and you can apply pressure. You may experience some light bruising, and this is totally normal as people’s veins change and move and even the most experienced specialist can’t prevent this.
We provide a high level of care after the test is taken to ensure that you feel ready to leave and take on your day.
How long does it take for a private blood test result?
We can sometimes give your blood test results to you while you wait or within 4 hours of your blood test. But some tests take longer to process and you need to discuss at your appointment how long your specific blood tests results will take to come back from our word class laboratory in London.
We wish it was instant! Modern medical science is working on it and we’ll be rolling it out when they do!
Most people want to get their blood test results straight to their mobile phone but if you want to book another appointment please let us know at your appointments.
If you results are abnormal we recommend a repeat test and follow up with your general practitioner.
We always have same day appointments available so that you can find one that suits you, even if it’s on the other side of town in one of our other 8 locations for private blood tests in London.
Why choose us as your blood test clinic?
We are a leader in driving the new wave of modern healthcare, where private doesn’t mean pricey, and the customer experience, from fast, personalised medical care to premium service, is what steers the business.
Considering the service and experience, from the moment you book to when you walk out the door with your results,, ours is the best private blood test London has to offer.
We are innovation-driven and our medical technology, like point of care diagnostic testing, means customers receive their test results incredibly quickly. We will take into account your health history when providing you with relevant information and recommendations to action straight away or take back to an external practitioner.
Can I get a blood test on NHS?
Yes, the NHS covers blood tests for some procedures. Private blood tests in the UK exist because the NHS cannot always prioritise your healthcare, particularly if there are those experiencing more severe health issues.
There are also a number of medical conditions where it is incredibly difficult to meet their criteria. Fertility screenings are an example of this. We see ourselves as a supplement to the NHS and we cater for people who want to invest in their own healthcare long-term. This isespecially true when it comes to preventative care and catching those small issues before they become big ones.
We don’t believe you should have to live in discomfort or with a sense that something is not quite right A private blood test at our London Vaccination Clinic means you can look after your personal wellbeing on your own terms. So, sign up for a blood test today!

Quick, easy, efficient and friendly
Went for the second in a course of various jabs that I missed with my NHS GP, the woman, Emily Brewster, who vaccinated me was very helpful and answered all questions also kindly advised on other issues and another kind woman assisted in booking the next course for me. I booked in the night before and was vaccinated the next day with no upfront payment and was charged less than my NHS GP!! I felt satisfied and would highly recommend Emily Brewster.
