More than 30 people have been killed and around 100 people injured following bomb blasts in Urumqi in the Xinjiang region of China. Reports suggest that there were over a dozen separate explosions. This incident follows a bomb and knife attacks in Urumqi and the region over the past few weeks. Travellers are being advised to take extra care and to be vigilant when travelling in this region, especially in crowded areas and on public transport. Travellers to this region should keep up-to-date with the advice being given by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
